LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy

Online therapy for queer, trans, and gender-diverse adults in Seattle and across Washington State.

You shouldn’t have to educate your therapist

Many queer and trans people have sat across from a therapist and spent the hour explaining the basics. Here you won’t have to explain your identity before we get to what brought you in. These are communities I know deeply, both personally and through more than a decade of clinical work.

Being LGBTQIA+ is not a problem to be solved. Sometimes it’s the reason you’re seeking therapy, and sometimes it’s just part of who you are while you work on something else entirely. Either way, all of you is welcome.

What we might work on

  • Coming out, at any age, and what follows
  • Exploring sexual orientation or gender identity
  • Family rejection, estrangement, and chosen family
  • Relationships, dating, and intimacy
  • Anxiety, depression, and the wear of living in a world that isn’t always safe
  • Aging as a queer or trans person
  • Living with HIV

For trans and gender-diverse clients

I work with trans, non-binary, and gender-expansive adults, wherever you are in understanding or expressing your gender. I also write secondary letters for gender-affirming surgeries at no cost to you.

How I work

My approach is Person-Centered: unconditional positive regard and no agenda. Therapy isn’t about fixing you. It’s about supporting you in becoming more fully yourself.
